I have no messages to express interest in this, I really would like at least one of you to take on this role

SCORPION EXPLORER SCOUTS

I am starting to get a bit bogged down with stuff and I am forgetting to post important information on here for you guys. For this reason I am looking to appoint a couple of you as a webmasters on this site. This basically means you will be able to post entries on the site, stuff like upcoming events but also anything you think would be relevant to the unit. I will oversee anything you do but ultimately you can do what you want with the site.

If you are interested in this role please let me know and I will appoint two of you.

Christmas Meal @ The Pepper Mill

As Cliff mentioned on Tuesday we will be having our Christmas meal this year at the Pepper Mill in Longton. The cost of the meal is £13 (not including a drink). I have booked a table for 20 which can be increased if needs be. Please bring your money ASAP, once you have paid you can choose your food from the Christmas menu which I will bring on Tuesday night.

It would be nice to get as many of you to come along as possible, the 17th will be the last week of Explorers before Christmas.

Module A Course this Saturday (16/11/13)

All,

There is a Module A course at the Trentham Scout HQ at 10 am on this Saturday (Nov 16).

For those of you that do not know what a Module A course is for, it is the training you REQUIRE to help out at any other Scout group. So if you want to be a young leader you need to attend this training. Even if you do not wish to be a young leader at the moment I recommend you go and get the training out of the way so you can go straight into a group when you want to.

There is no cost associated with the course, just be at the HQ for 10 am on Saturday (map below). It will run until 12.

Remembrance Day Parade

I messed up the times so please see the revised ones.

On Sunday there is a remembrance day parade in Stoke. Please be at the car park off Kings Way at 10:30 sharp. The car park is over the road from Stoke Minster. Please be there on time and please make sure you are in FULL UNIFORM with formal trousers and black shoes. Also make sure you are wearing a poppy too. It finishes at 12:00.

I will not be there but Cliff will and probably Meagan. As always I expect to hear that Scorpion E.S.U. have behaved themselves and have set a good example for all of the younger Scouts that will be there.

Kenya Project Last Chance

If any of you would like to be considered for the Kenya project there is one last opportunity to apply. Below is the application form and flyer, if you want to go you must fill in the form and get it to me for tonight. I have to write a reference on your application so if you do not bring it tonight you will be too late. The closing date for applications is this Friday. In order to qualify you need to be over 14 by 31 March 2015. If you are shortlisted you will need to attend a selection camp between Nov 22 and 23.
