Summer Camp

As I have mentioned over the past couple of weeks we are planning to run our summer camp between August 25 and August 31 at Beaudesert. The cost will be roughly £65 each. If you want to come you will need to pay a non-refundable £10 deposit as soon as possible.

If we do not get enough deposits paid by July 3 I will not book the camp. If it is decided the camp is not going to be booked your deposits will be refunded.

JCB Event Marshalling

Guys, I need to know how many of you are up for this thing, more than 4 of you put your hands up last night

SCORPION EXPLORER SCOUTS

I have just been contacted by someone responsible for an event at JCB on June 29. They are looking for as many Explorers as possible to come and help them marshal some kind of running event at the JCB HQ. They have offered a donation to the unit if we can help out. We will need to be there for a 7:30 am briefing and will be directing runners through obstacles until 15:00. I think this sounds like it could be quite a good opportunity and the unit could use the funds. If you are interested please choose ‘Yes’ in the poll AND let me know ASAP via email. They would like to know numbers as soon as possible.

Kenya Project presentation night

To all of you that are interested in going on the Kenya project, there is a meeting at 19:30 tomorrow night (June 6) at Dresden Scout HQ. This is an important meeting if you are even slightly interested. If you do go it is STRONGLY recommended that you take your parents with you, there will be a lot of talk about how much it is going to cost, when you will be going, selection and training camps and fund raising.

If you are going can you please fire me an email or text to let me know you are, I was planning to be there but unfortunately something else has come up.
