There is a lot of money owed to the unit for varying things. For example capitation, if you have not paid your capitation yet you must get the money to us ASAP. If you do not know how much you owe please contact me directly or ask next week.
We are also owed money for Big Camp. Today I paid the balance for those of you that have paid deposits, Robert, Dave, Dan and Adam (Blood) all still owe money for camp, please bring the money on Tuesday, again if you do not know how much you owe please contact me directly (BEFORE TUESDAY).
As most of you will already know, the Saint George’s Day parade is this weekend. It will be on Sunday at 1:30pm, and it is uncertain when it will finish. It will start at the Stoke Scout HQ. Anyone who volunteered as a flag-bearer should also attend the rehearsal at Stoke Minster on Friday evening at 7:00pm.
Happy New Year everyone. I trust you have all had a nice Christmas.
Explorers will recommence tomorrow night, usual time, usual place.
See you there
I am starting to get a bit bogged down with stuff and I am forgetting to post important information on here for you guys. For this reason I am looking to appoint a couple of you as a webmasters on this site. This basically means you will be able to post entries on the site, stuff like upcoming events but also anything you think would be relevant to the unit. I will oversee anything you do but ultimately you can do what you want with the site.
If you are interested in this role please let me know and I will appoint two of you.
There is a Module A course at the Trentham Scout HQ at 10 am on this Saturday (Nov 16).
For those of you that do not know what a Module A course is for, it is the training you REQUIRE to help out at any other Scout group. So if you want to be a young leader you need to attend this training. Even if you do not wish to be a young leader at the moment I recommend you go and get the training out of the way so you can go straight into a group when you want to.
There is no cost associated with the course, just be at the HQ for 10 am on Saturday (map below). It will run until 12.
The address of the HQ is:
Here is the map:
I found a phone last night before I locked up, if you have misplaced yours please get in touch and we can sort out a time for you to get it back.
Greetings all, I hope you are all enjoying your summer holidays. Unfortunately they are soon to end and we will be restarting Explorers. We will be meeting on September 3 at the usual time. Come with enthusiasm and ideas.
See you there.
Due to 66.6666% of the leaders being otherwise occupied (I’m not going to say who but I am not one of them), Explorers is CANCELLED tomorrow night.
See you next week when we can enjoy a night run by Dan and Josh.
As I said last week, we are not at HQ this week we are meeting at the Longton Rugby Club for the AGM. The meeting begins at 19:30 so please be there in time and please make sure you are in FULL UNIFORM. We expect to see you all there.
See you later
