Camp details

For those of you going to camp this weekend please get there for 6. On the Kibblestone website it says that all activities the campsite has to offer will be available over the weekend, that is all they say so to be on the safe side can you all print off the form linked below for air rifle shooting and bring it with you tomorrow.  Also bring some kit for going into the water, just in case.

See you there!

Big Camp

As many of you know there is an upcoming camp in July at Beaudesert Scout Camp. It will take place from the 4th to the 6th of July and will cost £30, which will include the cost of all activities and food for the weekend. It will be much like the Born Survivor camps which have taken place before and will include activities such as kayaking, climbing, go karts, survival cooking and many more. For more info about the camp and activities just check out this link http://staffordshirescouts.org.uk/bigcamp/

Camp forms and kit list

After I compared the air rifle forms side-by-side it seems there is no difference so I do not need new copies after all. I am still missing some forms however so if you have not given me all of your forms please bring them with you on Friday.

Kit List

I am sure you all know what you need to bring but here it is anyway:

All the usual stuff (sleeping bag, bed etc.)
A chair (very important)
Wet weather clothing
Walking boots (or something else to keep your feet dry when trudging around the campsite)
Money (for chip shop on Friday and the tuck shop on-site)
Any kit you took home with you on Tuesday
Whittling project (in case we get an opportunity to continue what we started on Tuesday)
A chair (yes, I know I have already said it but it is very important)

If you do not know where Beaudesert is below is a map plus an address. We are staying on site 8 which (for those in the know) is just over the road from where you end the Chase walk, it looks like the site will be fairly quiet so you should see us.

Site address: Beaudesert Park Campsite, Cannock Wood, Rugeley, Staffordshire, WS15 4JJ
Web address: http://www.beaudesert.org

See you Friday.

Chamboree 2014

As mentioned from August 1-9th next year there will be the 2014 Chamboree in Cheshire. The cost will be somewhere in the region of £210, this includes all of your activities and food but in order to keep costs down it does not include your transportation costs. The camp is just off junction 19 on the M6 it takes about 30 minutes to get there.

If you want to attend we need to know numbers this is a very popular event so we need to book onto it ASAP, please bring a £20 deposit as soon as you can. We will sort out some bag packing to help you all pay for the camp as I know it is a lot of money.

October Camp

All,

As I mentioned I have booked a camp at Beaudesert which will run from Friday October 25 – 27. The cost is £35 which includes all food and activities (rifle shooting, archery, crate stacking, circus skills and pyrography).

Please bring a £10 deposit ASAP, I need to confirm numbers very soon.

SUMMER CAMP IS CANCELLED

All,

Due to lack of interest we will not be running a Summer camp this year. This is really disappointing, so many of you wanted to go back to Beaudesert like last year but we have only had 3 definite confirmations, this is not enough for Cliff, Ellie and myself to take a week out of our lives plus it does not work out financially for the three attendees.

We plan to run a weekend camp after the summer holidays.

Those of you that have paid your deposits, you will receive the money back next week.
